The Community Image Committee is concerned with creating a positive image for the City of Tishomingo, both aesthetically and in the public's perception of Tishomingo. The Community Image Committee worked closely with the City in removing unsightly poles from Main Street and supporting the successful applications for a Main Street Sidewalk grant and a Safe Sidewalks to School grant. The Committee worked with the city on two Americorp Volunteer projects starting a system of walking trails along Pennington Creek and surrounding areas. Members worked with the City and the Chamber of Commerce on acquiring entrance signs into the community. Over the years Community Image has sponsored a number of community cleanup projects along Pennington Creek, in Pennington Park and along numerous streets. Such projects have encouraged business development, fostered community pride, and improved Tishomingo's quality of life.

The current project for the Community Image Committee is revitalizing the look of the Tishomingo Cemetary. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Community Image team please contact Rex Morrell by email,, or telephone, 580-371-3358.
